Techniques of Integration: basic integration formulas, integration by parts, integration of rational functions by partial fractions. Improper integrals.
Infinite series: convergence and criteria for convergence, power series convergence, Taylor and Maclaurin series.

Understanding: Having attended and succeeded in the course, the student is able to interpret and apply mathematical concepts such as the forms, characteristics, and behaviors of functions, derivatives, and integrals in real scenarios. Application: Having attended and succeeded in the course, the student is able to use the methods and techniques of calculus to solve optimization problems and calculate area and volume, incorporating the use of tools such as Matlab. Analysis: Having attended and succeeded in the course, the student is able to analyze and judge the mathematical solutions of functions and series, recognizing the suitability of the applied methods for specific problems. Synthesis: Having attended and succeeded in the course, the student is able to synthesize new methods from the basic principles of calculus to develop advanced techniques in computer science applications.
