Submission Instructions for the Theoretical Exercises

You must submit the theoretical exercises through the course's elearn platform. You first need to sign up with your academic login to elearn.uoc.gr. Then, you must enroll to the course ΗΥ-240 Δομές Δεδομένων (Χειμερινό 2024), where you will find an «Exercises» section with all the theoretical exercises. There is no limit to how many times you can submit, but be careful not to submit after the canonical deadline by mistake, as you will be penalized acording to the late exercises' algorithm.

In general (unless specified otherwise inside the exercises) every theoretical exercise has a deadline on 11:59 AM (in the morning). Exercises delivered after that time will be considered late.

The deliverables must be in PDF format (one file per student per theoretical exercise). [To create pdf files and to join a single pdf there are various free programs such as PDFConverter (PDFFORGE) for Windows or Convert (Imagemagick) and PDFTK for Linux. Alternatively the solutions of the exercises can be entered in a Microsoft / Open Office Document and get exported to pdf].

Instructions for Project Submission

The submission of the project deliverables will also be done through the course's elearn platform, at section «Πρότζεκτ». To submit your project deliverables you will have to put all your files on a filder and zip it (archive, with any format you want). You'll have to sumbit this zipped file to the appropriate place on elearn (seperate submissions for each phase will exist — be careful). You may submit however many times you want until each deadline (and the three extra days with a penalty). Only the last submission will get evaluated.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)


1. Can I submit late assignments;
Each assignment must get submitted before the respective due date and time in order to be subject to be marked with full marks. Nevertheless you can submit an assignment for the next three days past the deadline, having as a penalty half mark (out of ten) for each late day. Exceptionally good assignments may be marked with a grade greater than 10.

2. Can I re-submit an already submitted exercise;
You can submit you exercise as many times as you want for each assignment (inside the aforementioned deadlines). The system stores all your submissions with the respective numbering. Your grading will be performed based on the files you submitted last.

3. Can I submit seperately the different sub-questions of an exercise;
No, all your answers to all the assignment's questions must be present inside the PDF of the assignment you send through elearn.
