Dr. Panagiotis Lionakis

Dr. Panagiotis Lionakis is a Horizon Europe National Contact Point (NCP) for the European Innovation Council (EIC) and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a Digital Innovation Consultant at PRAXI Network (FORTH), and an Adjunct Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science, University of Crete.

He supports startups, SMEs, research organisations, and public authorities in EU funding strategy, proposal development, innovation ecosystems, and technology transfer, with active involvement in Horizon Europe funded projects.

He holds a Ph.D., M.Sc., and B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Crete, and a Master’s in Business Economics (MBE – TIME), jointly delivered by the University of Crete, University of Cyprus, and Wageningen University & Research.

His profile bridges advanced algorithms and data analysis with innovation management and digital transformation. His research has been published in leading international venues and informs applied innovation and policy-oriented work.
