Costas Panagiotakis received his B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Crete in 2001, 2003 and 2007, respectively. Currently, he is visiting professor in Computer Science Department and Scientific Coordinator-Lecturer in Technological Institute of Crete. In 1999 he joined the Multimedia Informatics Laboratory, where he has been involved in several advanced RTD projects funded by the either the European Union or National Agencies. He is co-author of more than 25 articles in international journals and conferences. Dr. Panagiotakis received several awards and prizes, including Greek scholarships (1997-1999), Εricsson Αward for his B.Sc. thesis (2002), Post-graduate Excellence award of the University of Crete (2004) and Sponsor Award for a Conference paper on Articulated Motion (2006). His research interests include signal processing, image and video analysis, computer graphics and animation, computational geometry and pattern recognition.
