The 2nd FuturEd AI Hackathon, organized by CSD and the TalentLMS Team
Thursday, 16 July 2026

The TalentLMS team, the learning platform developed by Epignosis Learning Technologies, and the Department of Computer Science (CSD) of the University of Crete are once again joining forces for this unique Hackathon, which will take place at CSD on October 1–2.
Developers, students, graduates, and professionals are invited to take part in a two-day coding marathon and create AI-powered solutions aimed at redefining the way we learn, teach, and grow.
With a focus on personalized learning, educational accessibility, and the development of innovative tools that make learning more effective, participants will collaborate, leverage advanced AI technologies, and tackle real-world industry challenges. No specialized knowledge of artificial intelligence is required; what matters most is creativity, a collaborative mindset, and the drive to build something new.
Applications Open Until September 24
The initiative is aimed at teams of developers, designers, and technology professionals who are passionate about innovation and eager to create tools that can transform the educational experience for millions of learners worldwide. Participants must be at least 18 years old and form teams of 2–4 members.
This year, winning teams will be recognized in three distinct categories, with a prize of €2,000 per category:
- Best AI-Powered Innovation: The most innovative technical solution
- Real-World Impact in Education: The solution with the greatest impact on education
- Community Vote: The solution selected by fellow participants
Interested participants can register until September 24 through the following link:
