Τhe people who were chosen to recruit the Department have also constituted its most powerful asset. They have become the driving force that led the Department to its current state of authority.

All faculty members are finely educated professors, who have graduated some of the most acclaimed universities in Europe and the USA (Berkeley, Stanford, MIT, Princeton, Toronto and Brown, to name a few). They are people who can relate to the roots of systems thinking and are intent on defining all the methods, the aims, the principles, and the politics of computerization. Their research achievements have exceeded the boundaries of Greek academia and have been published in some of the most scholarly international journals and conferences in computer science.
