Web Page for Journal Paper : Full-band Quasi-Harmonic Analysis and Synthesis of Musical Instrument Sounds with Adaptive Sinusoids

Marcelo Caetano, George P. Kafentzis, Athanasios Mouchtaris, and Yannis Stylianou

eaQHM denotes the extended adaptive Quasi-Harmonic Model

EDS denotes the Exponentially Damped Sinusoidal Model

SM denotes the Sinusoidal Model

Musical Instrument Families (as described in journal paper):

Popular, Strings, Woodwinds, Keyboard, Brass, Percussion.

(All the musical instrument sounds used in the experiments are described in Table 1 of the journal paper.)

Reconstruction over Adaptation Number

The following examples illustrate Fig. 3 in the manuscript. The table contains examples of musical instrument sounds from the families indicated resynthesized at the First and Last iterations. The First iteration is before any adaptation, so it corresponds to QHM. The Last iteration is after 10 (at most) adaptation cycles.

Reconstruction over Number of Partials

The following examples illustrate Fig. 4 in the manuscript. The table contains examples of musical instrument sounds from the families indicated resynthesized with the number of sinusoids indicated. Max stands for full-band and quasi-harmonic. The frame size was kept constant at 3T0.

Reconstruction over Frame Size

The following examples illustrate Fig. 5 in the manuscript. The table contains examples of musical instrument sounds from the families indicated resynthesized with the frame sizes indicated. The number of partials was kept constant at Kmax.
